What is the largest land animal in Norway, how do we translate the title of the Norwegian national anthem, and what is the tradition of Friday dinners in Scandinavia? These were among the questions the participants of the second edition of the knowledge competition about Norway, which took place in the "Olimpia" hall of the City Hall, had to face. The competition was won by Julia Przygoda - a student of Primary School No. 13.

The second edition of the knowledge competition about Norway is behind us, which has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of educational competitions in our city. In January, students of Starachowice primary schools competed as teams for the title of the school that knows as much as possible about the Scandinavian country. Primary School No. 13 was a success then.

16 students representing 8 primary schools in Starachowice took part in the competition. Each school was represented by two students who had to answer questions prepared by the organizers. This time it was a pool of 21 questions regarding the following areas: geography, Nordic mythology, cuisine, famous creators of culture, sport, national symbols, Norwegian national holidays and the state system.

The best this time was Julia Przygoda from Primary School No. 13. The "thirteen" student once again stood on the highest step of the podium and received an impressive cup for the victory and attractive prizes funded by the City Hall.

Her school friend Jakub Zyzman took second place, and Julia Tomczyk from Primary School No. 9 took third place.

Additionally, all participants of the competition received commemorative diplomas and gifts.

Prizes and gifts for the students were presented by the Deputy Mayor of the City, Marcin Gołębiowski, who has already announced the third edition of the competition. Our students are probably counting down the time until the next opportunity to test their knowledge about Norway.
