The city has started to develop an important document - Accessibility Standards for the Starachowice Commune.
The aim of the task is to ensure accessibility for people with special needs through the use of universal design and rational accommodations. Model solutions for public space and guidelines for the design of public spaces and facilities will be prepared, taking into account the principles of architectural, digital and information and communication accessibility.
A safe space must first take into account the basic parameters resulting from the diversity of users of this space, including: people with mobility limitations, sensory limitations, mental and mental limitations, stroller users, people with small children and strollers, and pregnant women.
The task is implemented as part of the project "Direction for the Future - Starachowice Local Development Program", co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for 2014-2021 (85%) and the state budget (15%).
