On Friday, April 5, 2024, the Pałacyk Creativity Center hosted Youth Day, the main topic of which was mental health. We invited amazing guests with whom we talked about how to deal with high school stress, how to recognize your emotions, how to strengthen mental resilience and what technostress and digital hygiene are.
At the beginning of the event, the participants were welcomed by the Mayor of Starachowice Marek Materek, Deputy Mayor Marcin Gołębiowski and our chairman Klaudia Chamera, who also talked about the functioning of the Palace.
Immediately after the speeches, an inspirational lecture took place: "Managing yourself under stress, or how to be stressed" conducted by Karolina Wójcik from SWPS Innowacje. After it was over, the participants could ask Karolina about the issues that bothered them.
Then the first workshop part began, which included workshops on:
- "How to deal with high school stress?" led by Karolina Wójcik from SWPS Innovations.
- "About recognizing emotions and dealing with them" conducted by Sławomir Prusakowski from SWPS Innovations
- "Technostress and digital hygiene, or well-being in the era of algorithms" led by Filip Dębowski from the Institute of Digital Citizenship.
During the second part of the workshop, we explored the following issues:
- "About recognizing emotions and dealing with them" led by Sławomir Prusakowski from SWPS Innowacje.
- "Overstimulation and overthinking - on the way to well-being" led by Weronika Laura Ławniczak from the Mętlik w Głów Foundation.
- "How to develop resilience - 15 ways to strengthen mental resilience" conducted by Damian Dec from the Inspiration Institute.
During such an active day, interesting conversations and networking over pizza could not be missing. Free time was made more pleasant by numerous board games, table football, darts, an instax point and many others.
We are glad that you were with us on this special day and that the Palace has become a meeting place for young people from Starachowice. There were over 100 of us! Thank you!
The meetings are carried out as part of the project entitled "Direction for the Future - Starachowice Local Development Program" from the Local Development Program, co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for 2014-2021 (85%) and the state budget (15%).
