We are facing the second stage of public consultations regarding the creation of an urban concept for the area of the former hospital at Radomska street in Starachowice. On Thursday (February 16) verification workshops will take place, and the architects announce the presentation of preliminary visualizations.
Starachowice consultations are held in the form of participatory planning workshops using the "Charette" method as part of the project entitled "Direction Future - Starachowice Local Development Program". The project is co-financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the State Budget. The consultation started in January and will run until February 25.
Local vision
In the first stage of the consultation, diagnostic and design part. The workshop began with a joint visit to the former municipal hospital building. During the joint walk, the conditions were discussed, the potential and possible problems related to the location and the characteristics and technical condition of the hospital building were presented.
The participants of the meeting discussed the future of these areas. The inhabitants of Starachowice were also invited to the discussion.
Meetings with residents
A meeting of the working group was also held in January. At that time, preliminary assumptions were presented and the conditions and directions of the urban planning concept for this area were discussed. Workshop participants have already developed initial ideas that have been discussed in detail.
In February, it's time for visualizations
Now it's time for another meeting. On February 16 (Thursday) there will be another part of the workshop - the so-called verification. The meeting will traditionally take place in the "Olimpia" room from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
During the upcoming workshops, detailed concepts corresponding to the directions developed in the diagnostic and design part will be presented. The organizers of the meeting also plan to discuss the pros and cons of the presented concept and work together on selected variants.
