The Starachowice Commune is heading to finalize the work on the final development of the project of the future Eco School in Primary School No. 11.

During the next working meeting, representatives of the Municipal Office from the Investment Department, the Office of the City Architect, the Department of Education, Culture and Sport, as well as the Department for Acquiring External Funds, and the management of SP11 worked on guidelines that will allow the development of a concept of arrangement as well as a cost estimate and design documentation to make the most of the space inside and around the school.

In June, workshops for students and teachers were held at the school's headquarters, as well as a consultation meeting for the local community, during which all participants could express their expectations and suggestions regarding Eco School. The results of these meetings will be considered when creating the investment map.

The task is fully implemented as part of the project "Direction Future - Starachowice Local Development Programme", financed from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 (85%) and the state budget (15%).

In the new facility, it is planned to launch bilingual classes, an ecological class, and a sports class. As part of additional extracurricular activities, students will have a choice of rhythmics, arts, sports, civic education, and others. The project also provides for the possibility of further training of teaching staff through participation in courses and training.
The building and space of the EkoSzkoła will be open to the public - they will be a place for meetings and recreation, as well as for the implementation of educational and ecological activities and for shaping ecological awareness.
