On the initiative of the Mayor of Starachowice, the Park of Culture and the Intercultural Assistant, Inna Mekhedy, on the Independence Day of Ukraine (August 24), the Polish-Ukrainian Friendship Concert was held in the amphitheater of the City Park.

During the event, children, and adults, who came to Poland due to the ongoing war in Ukraine and found their safe place, performed on the stage, as well as special guests: Zgarda - a duo of bandurists and the "Starachowianie" Musical Theater on Kamienna.

According to the organizers, the young artists prepared for the performance throughout the summer. In this way, they wanted to express gratitude to the inhabitants of Starachowice, who helped Ukrainian families in the face of tragedy.

The event aimed to deepen intercultural integration and show solidarity with the citizens of Ukraine.
