More Ukrainian citizens staying in our city have officially completed their Polish language course. The course is organized by the Starachowice Commune in cooperation with the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce as part of the project "Direction of the Future - Starachowice Local Development Program" financed by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014-2021.
A Polish language course for adults who came to our city from Ukraine is one of many initiatives supporting refugees from across the eastern border proposed by the authorities of Starachowice. The Mayor of Starachowice, Marek Materek, who was present at the summary of the course, emphasized that the city authorities are trying at every step to create good living conditions for our guests.
- We want you to feel comfortable and safe with us. We have information that many Ukrainian citizens staying in the Starachowice Commune have found work, which is great. Regardless of what your future plans are, please remember that you are our friends and Starachowice is waiting for you. I wish you all the best, emphasized Marek Materek, Mayor of the city.
